Good to hear buddy. I'd love to see some pictures of your other chickens sometime! Are they all auricanas or do you have other breeds as well?

No worries Coop, it definitely wasn't you at all, I had just looked back through the pictures.  And I didn't cry, just kinda felt like it, but then Laura just randomly called and I was well distracted and am gonna go to sleep now Smile

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you think about it and cry. I know exactly how you feel though and its not an easy thing to do. If It would have been up to me solely I would have never killed any of our chickens either but my father in law didn't want roosters. Again I'm so sorry if I upset you, your a very cool girl an I truly admire your willingness to try things and your all around outgoing nature. I wish more women were like you.

Its for sure a bummer that you and Trevors trip didn't work out. Glad to hear that you still had a good time though. The Mountain Lion would for sure be badass but ridiculously scary at the same time.

Haha well thanks guys.

Very badass that you could do that Julia!! I've done it quite a few times my self. Yet, even though I'm an avid hunter and have removed the entrails from many animals I too find it hard to kill and eat something I raised that has a name. Awesome stuff though none the less. I'm impressed for sure. My wife cried when the chicken fought, let alone when I chopped their heads off. lol Thumbs Up!

I don't think I'd have any trouble with an animal that I could shoot from a distance.  But I've never gone hunting so I don't know really I guess (no one in my family hunts, and I just don't think I'd ever get into it all by myself...)

But it just now kinda hit me that Daffodil is gone.  He really was my favorite of the flock, he was the friendliest and best looking, even as a tiny baby.  He'd be the one to come charging towards me whenever I'd get out of the car, and didn't seem to mind being held at all.  Man, I wasn't gonna cry about this at all but I almost feel like it right now...I'm really not as super tough as I maybe come across sometimes.  I'm gonna go distract myself with something else
